My approach as a wedding photojournalist is one of response. I certainly bring my own artistic style and vision to all that I do. But documentary photography is not primarily about me or “my art.” It is other-centered. It is the kind of photography that operates from a refined sense of observation, timing, and relational acumen.
You should be free to focus on enjoying your day, living in the moment, having fun with your best friends, and savoring the experience of being surrounded by those who love you most. And I’ll capture you doing just that.
As a wedding photographer, I am invited to share in one of the most sacred days of your life! Knowing how important your wedding day is to you fuels my motivation to serve you and your family well. Because of this, everything I do is centered around relationships and creating a meaningful, fun experience for the couple and their families! A casual yet professional approach that keeps the momentum going is very important to me and has always been appreciated by past clients.
My personal inspiration comes from a sense of connection with the client and their event. I don’t just arrive on the wedding scene and start taking pictures! Because every bride and groom is different we’ll spend some time getting to know one another before the wedding day. This is done primarily through our planning session and phone conversations. I’ll listen to what’s important to you and take that into consideration on your wedding day. Every wedding is different so getting to know each other beforehand is the key to having a great, wedding day experience.
Finally, I place high priority on communication, timelines, and efficiency! I bring a wealth of experience to the wedding planning process. Providing a planning worksheet to each client helps us create realistic timelines, a solid family picture list, and other fine-tuned ideas that will help your wedding day run smoothly. I rarely have any real problems on the wedding day because we talk about everything beforehand and everyone knows what to expect!
