My uncle was a war photographer in South America for the Associated Press during the 1980’s. Telling the human story and revealing the beauty of people all around the world through photography seems to run in the family. Photographing weddings just might be in the genes.
My view of the world has been influenced and enriched by travel and culture. I had the privilege of living in Western Europe for four years and have traveled extensively throughout the world as a servant, a researcher, and photographer.
Doctoral research in anthropology provided two years of intense travel and research among the Maasai people of Kenya and Tanzania. My documentary work among these inspiring, semi-nomadic tribesmen has been enthusiastically received and exhibited in multiple locations.
These real world experiences, combined with my own cross-cultural marriage of 16 years and young son, give me the kind of heart and vision that will transform your important moments into priceless photographic memories.
Lastly, I joyfully credit the grace of God in Christ for transforming my formerly vain existence into a life filled with beauty. This renovation of the heart is the inspiration and source from which I approach life, work, and art.
