Kristin Walls is a new neighbor, friend, and the weekend meteorologist at WHAS11 news. Her Lab puppy Bella and my English Bulldog Lucy are good buddies and love a good Sumo smackdown in the yard.

It’s a big day for many families in Louisville. After two days of cancelled classes due to storms & power outages, Jefferson County Schools opened their doors for the first day of class for the 2011-2012 school year.
Today brought back memories of our son’s first day of school as a Kindergartner last year. This year, he mounts up as a first grader, which now includes an English Bulldog named Lucy.
